Yes, the red, juicy fruit, the watermelon. I don't know anyone that doesn't enjoy watermelon. That red color comes from the antioxidant lycopene. The riper(redder) the better. The seedless choice actually has more of this antioxidant that the one with seeds. This delicious fruit has been shown to curb your risk of diabetes and cancer.
Watermelon has only 1% total carbohydrate in a small(71 grams) wedge. It has no saturated, polyunsaturated, or monounsaturated fats in it and no sugar.
A bite of a ripe watermelon right now would be so good.

My husband carved out a watermelon this week. I've been enjoying a bowl of this delicious treat, every day this week:)

Pretty and I like watermelon and usually, buy them three at a time. (The two of us eat one melon in two to three days.)
I do like yellow meated watermelon once in a while, though.

I don't think I have ever had those. I like cantaloupe too.

@celticeagle Cantaloupes are good, too.
I've only ever bought yellow meated watermelons in Arkansas. I used to work down in Arkansas and would stop during the summer on my way back to mom's to buy watermelons. We'd invite friends and family to help us polish off two 50 lbs melons. I'd buy one yellow and one red. It was always a good party!

Tomatoes will give you lycopene as well. Thank you for the information about the watermelon.

Yes, and in what I read I found that watermelon has more lycopene in it than even tomatoes.
