At last I have been to the small village of Giethoorn in the Netherlands yesterday with my hubby, my friend and her daughter.
It was almost 2 hours drive from where we live in Germany. We drove early in the morning that the village was still quiet. The tourist information center was not even opened yet when we arrived. At least we were able to park near the entrance of the village. No cars are allowed in the village. Just walkers and cyclists.
We spent almost the whole day boating on the canals, strolling around the village and of course taking pictures and videos. Now I have a lot of materials to write about the small “Venice” of the Netherlands. I am still editing the videos and will post a compilation on you tube. The photo was taken when we were boating.
I walked about 11K steps yesterday that I was and still am tired. So, I am just spending my Sunday at home relaxing besides cooking and washing the dishes.
Anyway, how did you spend your weekend? Thank you for reading.

That sounds like a nice journey!
Are your vehicles or belongings checked when you cross the border from Germany to Netherlands?
I have recently shifted places, have some issues and matters to sort and well, not so much time for Mylot; except for the last few days.

Things are improving.
Budget and expenses are a big challenge for some more time.
But hopefully will see better months.
I hope that you had a great weekend.

Lovely photo. I'm glad you had a good time. We went out to eat at Red Lobster yesterday and then picked up some KFC chicken for today. Nothing else planned. Today is the 4th of July, our Independence Day.
