July 4th plans

For those Americans celebrating the 4th today, how are you spending it, with big celebrations or small? We are spending it quietly. My husband works til 5 today. When he gets home, we will grill steaks on the back deck grill. I got a 4th of July deal at the grocery store for the meat. Then, we will have a quiet evening here at home. My son had off work today. He is golfing with friends. He may or may not be here for the meal. If not, he will have plenty of leftovers for when he wants to eat.

We're just finding quiet things to do at home. My daughter keeps trying to get me to take her grocery shopping but we don't actually need anything. (She's out of her favorite soda. ) I'll have to take her to make her leave me alone, but I can go back to sleep for a while more. I hope you and your family enjoy the day.

We will have a normal 4th dinner of hot dogs and watermelon. The kids may go to the park to see the fireworks and I will watch it on the tv. Enjoy yourself.

We went to my cousin's for a barbecue and her youngest grandchild had a fever so we left. She needed to give him a cool bath to see if his fever would go down.
