So are you okay if K-12 will be removed in education? If you are not aware K-12 is a short form for the publicly-supported school grades prior to college. it is like a preparation for upcoming college. to have like an advance in courses. they added a 2years of learning before going to college. so from grade 10 they add 2. and made the graduating from highschool is grade 12. that is also why now there is junior and senior highschool. Are you agree to remove it? or no? pls share your thoughts and opinion.

I believe that we must follow international standards. We may be one of the last nations to adopt this type of educational system for children. I believe that because we have followed a Grades 1-6 and First–Fourth Year curriculum for so many years, our educational quality has been gradually declining. Even while it can save many parents some money on the cost of sending their children to school, if adding Kindergarten and two additional years in high school can raise the standard of instruction, why not? I simply hope we shouldn't politicize this just because  it was adopted under the previous administration doesn't mean it's a bad program for our educational system.

I'm not sure I understand. All US schools have k-12. It's what we've had since the 1830s.

@DevMrSamEleazar Nobody is talking about removing it here. Without it, how will our kids get an education? K-12 in the US is paid for with some of the taxes we pay in to the government. There is no other expense to the parents of the kids.

Well, if it is really going to help students to learn more about the profession that they are going to choose. Then, I think it must not be removed. I think, there are students who don`t know what they want to get for college

K-12 doesn't teach US kids to get ready for a profession. It gives them basic understanding of all subjects so they can graduate and choose a college or a profession after they reach 18 years old. If they choose a profession, then they begin training in it. If they choose college, then they are trained for a more technical profession after they graduate from college.

K-12 means 12 years of school including kindergarten which makes 13 years. It needs to stay that way here.

I agree... we still turn out some dummies, but there would be a whole lot more of them if we didn't have standardized schools across the country!

I don't know if it would be good or bad I had no problem finishing high school at grade 12 I think it might give teens a chance to get more mature before they go to college

Where I live people can start taking college courses in the 12 grade so they can take two courses in one.

I guess it's cool to revamp the school system as long as the syllabus is not cramped up for students.

I think Sarah Duterte who will handle the Department of Education in the Philippines is about to abolish K12 it is just a burden for parents.
