I like the thinking of Cobb County police officer Lieutenant Vance Deupree who was at Truist Park in Atlanta Georgia yesterday when he won an autographed baseball that was signed by Atlanta Braves pitcher Tyler Matzek who donated autographed baseballs to a hand full of police officers that was going to the chaplain fund of the force.
Lieutenant Deupree did win via auction the autographed baseball. He decided to locate a fan who admires the Braves starting pitcher to give him the baseball on bobblehead night at the stadium.
Lieutenant Deupree saw a young boy wearing an Atlanta Braves baseball jersey that had the last name of Matzek on the back.
The Lieutenant then asked the boy who is his favorite baseball player. When the boy replied to the officer that Matzek is his favorite baseball player, the lieutenant made the boy happy by giving him the autographed baseball of his favorite baseball player to him.
The irony is that the boy wanted to get the autograph of Tyler before the game started but he was way back in the line to get the autograph of his favorite baseball player.
I like this way of police officers doing good deeds to kids to gain their confidence as their best friend they can have in their communities.

That is true since some police officers know that young children look up to baseball players as their heroes.

The officer did make a young boy happy after he could not get an autograph from Tyler earlier.
