My Fitbit band broke last week

I had the Fitbit charge which doesn't allow for different bands so there was no way it could be salvaged. After looking it up I discovered the life of them is two to five years and I think I had mine two years. Bummer.
Not wanting to spend that much every few years I found several smartwatches similar to the apple product in design and function but how to decide which were best was the question. So I searched it out.
The consensus was that kore has a smartwatch that people like and it has a lot of reviews and they aren't expensive. I decided to get one and told myself that I didn't need all the bells and whistles that an apple watch has. I mainly need something that tells time correctly so I ordered it last week.
It said that I wouldn't get it until July 19th. I also paid for a lifetime warranty which was around fourteen dollars. All told, watch, warranty and shipping was just under one hundred bucks.
My supper is ready so I'll write more about the watch later.

@MarshaMusselman - Back in time Apple products were very good and reliable, but now they do not last long.

I didn't know they didn't last long either. I know that my kids that do use apple products seem to get their devices updated long before they wear our. Maybe for that very reason.

@youless I've never heard of opening a door with a watch before. I'm guessing you mean your car door?

It might have more on it than the Fitbit did. I still have to explore it more.

I have a fitbit that my mother had bought for my uncle. He never used it. The band was really big. So I looked on Amazon and I got a new band for it. It's still a little big, but it's fine. I like this band better than the one my uncle had.

Vince has an expensive Smart Watch but it records his heart rate and links it to his phone, etc. Then the doctor can review what's happening. For us, it's been a godsend and very reassuring but the bells and whistles certainly wouldn't be necessary for most people. I hope your new watch lasts a lot longer.

I hope so too. It doesn't wake up as easily but I may need to make the band tighter and I'd need my husband's help to do that.

No idea. It does keep track of sleep patterns, heat rate, exercise and things like that just like my new watch will.

Especially if the watch and the band outlasts the others. This one at least has other watch bands that can be purchased.

I love my Fitbit and to get a new one is so much fun. That's great that you have a lifetime warranty.
