Hi there, my fellow myLotters.
It's already 10:44pm here in my computer clock.
How's your day? In my end, I find it happier than expected as few hours ago, my mother gave me a peso bank note an equivalent of $4. Not that big enough but it's valued more than anything else like I've won a million dollar in a lottery.
Anyway, my topic for today, how do you manage your bills?
Let me share you mine.
Every time I'll receive my salary at 4th or 5th of the month, it's already reserve for my water and internet bills every 6th or 7th of the month.
Coming from salary at 19th or 20th of the month, it's already reserve for apartment rental on the 20th of the month as well as my electricity bill on the 20th or 21st of the month.
We do our grocery every 5th and 20th of the month to supply our daily needs. We're not making any list to buy every time we go to the grocery. At least, it's already listed in our mind. We tend to manage for grocery of foods, household cleaning and other important things for Php2500($45) during the 5th of the month and (Php2000 ($35) during 20th of the month. Maybe, you're confused why the value is not equal? The answer is I'm paying high bills during the 20th because of apartment and electricity. Unlike for 5th is only reserves for internet and water bills plus grocery bills only.
How about you, how do you manage your bills?

I'm semi retired, doing freelance work. Money deposited into my bank account when I completed my assignment. I usually pay all the bills, electricity, gas, management fee etc. via online banking towards the end of each month.

@sjvg1976 Yes. We have different dates of getting our salary however, we're almost the same in paying those bills. I don't even pay my bills for the last dates unlike some of my colleagues if the due date is 15th of the month, they'll pay on the 14th.

I am semi-retired and doing freelance work. I told you about that.
I pay our rent on the 1st of every month along with the electric and gas bills. Pretty pays the internet bill on the 20th of the month. We buy groceries around the 4th and the 19th of the month. Pretty pays for gas in our car on the 1st of the month.

Yes @akanetuk. We do have unlimited internet as well. Not that fast but it's enough for the entire family needs. We have 100 mbps only.

You can't manage the bills cuz its already printed or its already released, so you need to manage the people who use the things that make bills.

Great tease @DevMrSamEleazar. Like most of the time, I'm controlling your way of using our electricity and our gas for cooking, am I correct?

@DevMrSamEleazar Oh! I'm sorry, I've overlooked that it seems you're teasing me. I've already have a record of our current electricity bills. I don't know if I can change the usage of it in the next coming days to control our monthly budget.

I'm a businessman so I aways have cash on hand, I pay all my bills online via gcash and had set bill payment reminders 10 days before due date. We own our property so no rent but real estate tax ( amiliar), I also have to pay business permit, both real estate tax and business permit I need to settle yearly in person at the city hall.

I’m a very blessed person. I’ve lived in the same house for 33 years, and I’m finished paying on it. That means I don’t have a monthly mortgage/lease/rent. I usually schedule the bills I have for payment the last weekend of the month. My utilities are automatically deducted from my checking account, as is my car payment. Most everything I buy these days I pay for with a credit card, because their “cash back bonus” offers are 1% - 5% (depending on where I spend money), while my savings account pays 1/20th of one percent interest. I’m making more money spending it than saving it!

@FourWalls Wow great to know your financial management. Good to know that you've finished paying the house you're living in. I remember the day that I bought for mortgage house a decade ago and because of flash flood then, I've forced myself to discontinue paying that house.

I get paid at the beginning of each month and pay my bills when they come due (online banking). I put some away in savings and the rest is usually spent on groceries and other household stuff.

Good thing that you've manage to pay your online banking @Marilynda1225 with those bills as well as you've put something savings. Honestly, in my end, it's very rare for each salary that I can save something for our savings. Mostly nothing, just an exact amount.
