Hot Water!

Newsflash! We have hot water again! This little job wasn't a one day job like we thought it would be. But, we are back in business now and can take a warm bath/shower, run the dishwasher, do laundry again! I have a lot to keep me busy! Hubby finished the plumbing and then hooked up the electrical and WALLA, we flipped the electricity back on! It was getting a bit hot inside with it off for him to wire it all in.
My other project that spawned off of this job is to finish cleaning out the laundry room and make it 100% again. There are things stored in there that I had no idea was there. I found an empty box that some dinnerware came in. Why I saved the box is beyond me! I found a supply of empty plastic bags, some extra egg cartons--which I do need, especially right now with the chickens laying so well.
I will have a lot of stuff to burn later today or tomorrow. I want to get my kitchen all caught up and in order today. I have a pot roast in the slow cooker so dinner will be easy!

@LindaOHio Staying busy!! Between the boutique and the flea market I'm always running! I'm whooped the day after I work at the boutique. Not used to all that standing and running the floor. Otherwise, same as you -- hanging in there! And waiting on some cooler temps here!!

@wolfgirl569 I have to say that I have been sleeping good lately. I think it is because I'm so tired. But I would rather be busy than bored and lazy!! Glad you are getting better rest!!

I can relate to what you went through not having hot water in your home since back in February 2021, the City Of Lake Charles had lost the ability to supply hot water due a winter storm breaking water pipes that interrupted hot water for about five days.

One of my co-workers just returned from a 10-day vacation to a flooded house, his hot water tank ruptured while he was gone. Those things are never fun to deal with. I’m glad you got your situation all squared away and your household is back in business.
