Went early to Marukai Wholesale Mart to today. Hoping to find fresh flowers today.
Pink carnations is what I in wanted this week. Walking down, I hoped to find fresh cut pink carnations.
I picked up tomorrow's ad entering the store. As I went to walking up to the cut flowers section, I noticed, the store brimming with customers. Ahh, there they are, pink carnations.
Well, what a pleasant surprise Red Delicious apple, in stock today. I like Red Delicious, if crunchy. Seems both sweet & crunchy, sold.
A bit overcast today. Hurried to and now back home.

Have you ever grown carnations in a pot at home? Pretty and I had red and white carnations growing at our last house. They were always really pretty while they bloomed.
We bought apples, peaches and pears at the grocery store two days ago. YUMMM!
It's supposed to start raining here tomorrow. I hope it does. Rain will help cool off the over 100F we've been having and maybe the grass will get green again here.

@oahuwriter Oh, yes, impatiens will grow for anyone, and are always beautiful! (I used to keep starts from our impatiens through the winter in a glass above our sink and then plant them again the next spring.)
We got some rain this afternoon while I was asleep and the forecast says we'll have storms tonight, too. I believe it. We have really black clouds overhead with lots of thunder. (The temp dropped to 73F this afternoon and is supposed to drop to 62F by morning. I shut off our A/C when I woke up.)
Do you go shopping every day if it doesn't rain? We only go shopping twice a month and buy everything we'll need for two weeks at a time. (We used to only go shopping once a month but Pretty keeps insisting we need "stuff" and then spends about $250 each time we go shopping. )

Hope you get the beneficial rain you need...I like night rain, so I can do my errands & shopping. We're having sunny, though Friday forecast for rain. Carnations so delicate and pretty. I've not grown them got a blue thumb. At least impatience flowering nicely. Glad you got some nice fruits. Going to get some white nectarines on sale today along with other necessities.

Ok. Not everyday, but because Marukai Wholesale Mart, nearby, I spoil myself a little with cravings. I bus, so little by little shopping gets done. Age too, limits carting home purchases. Impatience flowering is pretty in good idea for winter flowers!

Those are lovely carnations! Fresh cut flowers are expensive here nowadays. I love having my potted plants around though.

@oahuwriter There were pieces of a plant called 'bridal broom' in the bouquet. My mother struck some new plants from the pieces and we had one growing at the last place where we lived.
