I did a post last night about teaching piano. Now there's a big ad for upright pianos on my MyLot page. Is Big Brother watching everything I do on the internet? Maybe I'll go to a naked lady site on my break between jobs today and see if more Asian and Russian brides want to court me. Does it "freak you out" a bit when the ads you get on MyLot and elsewhere reflect what you've been writing about? Do they even monitor our emails?

I’m aware that my activity online is monitored but it still creeps me out sometimes and will never get used to it.

Yes! Creepy happened to me this weekend. I travel a lot for work so I always get airlines and traveling apps adds I’m used to it. But , this Saturday was talking to my mom on FaceTime about how maybe we are thinking of going to Zanzibar for our honeymoon (married for two months). Mind you I never researched Zanzibar or looked it up just crossed my mind cuz it’s close to me now and my husband’s friend lives there. I finished with my mom and then I get a Zanzibar offer in my email from Booking.com. Lol

@TheHorse You could try but I think it's too late now. Just about everything links to some sort of computer-type technology nowadays. And it's also difficult now to get past first-base with anything if you don't have a mobile phone.

I am glad I don't spend a lot of time on naughty sites. But it seems that those who research weapons and such like don't get caught until it's too late.

They monitor everything. Your computer and phone even listen to your conversations. I try to confound them by asking for things I know they can't or won't show me.
