Why are people so mean.....

Is it human nature to be jealous of other people's success? So jealous that one makes it his goal to destroy another? It pains me to see people go through all lengths to destroy one another because of envy. Instead of working hard to succeed, they work hard on plotting against another. How evil is that?

It is evil indeed. For all the effort they put into destroying someone, they could have instead used that energy to better themselves or make the world around them a better place. I guess some people aren't happy unless they're miserable. People either get better or get bitter. For me, the choice is easy.

Some people have desperately wicked hearts. Many years ago someone tried to poison my mother but the plan did not succeed and she is still here many years later.

I'm glad that the plan did not succeed. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case for my parents. They got murdered because of envious people and they left 5 of their children orphaned.

I hate it when people do that. I don't understand why people go out of their way to be vile when kindness is free and easier. Did someone sabotage you?

@flapiz Without a warrant, they couldn't do that. And I have reported it to the NBI. It's impossible for them to find evidence unless they plant one.

@toniganzon Oh no. Can the CIDG conduct a proper investigation so your employees name can be cleared. I mean it should be okay as long as no evidence found?

Yes, it does but it doesn't always happen that their envy turns into something so vicious as to have someone killed.

Humans are animals and it's all about survival of the fittest. You see it everywhere. It's sad, sure, but it's reality.

Meanness partly comes from selfishness, and lack of compassion and forethought for others, and the other side of it is evil intentions, based on jealously wanting others to not have what you have, not wanting to share, and not wanting others to have opportunities, and so you act mean to try to not help them, but more hinder them, block them in their success, as you are insecure of them bettering you too. We need to move past our human nature, based on ego, and greed, and adopt a spiritual nature, based around love, kindness, and compassionate thinking, of others too.

I heard a general sentiment - we are happy for the success of others as long as they don't outdo us! Why begrudge others as they have worked for it? is my take.

I have faced such situations. At one workplace, I had streamlined the operations but it took one bad apple to spoil the lot! His actions reeked with envy!

@toniganzon It is very evil and very sad too. You would think the person would want to build a life for themselves but instead they are miserable and busy plotting someone else's downfall.

That kind of behavior makes me sad. There's so many people in the world who have negative thinking, and I think that negative thinking makes them say and do negative things against other people. I have known many people like this and have tried to stay as far away from them as possible (if I can). It's hard enough to stay positive in this world without having negative energy people in my life. That being said, I hope you have a wonderful day! :)

I do believe that it is us humans who make Earth heaven or hell. We can make it heaven if we care and love each other and works toward prosperity for all. Unfortunately we make it hell doing the stuff you mentioned. It took me 40 years to learn about this fact of life. I am watchign game of thrones and the battle for power and resources is as much a reality then as it is now. It happens in large scale and on the level of individuals.

I am a personal victim of such envy. That's who my parents got killed. I learned that from a very young age. And people still don't learn. Now, one of my people are in such a situation. He and his family are in mental anguish because of the threats and false accusation that was done to him because of a particular envious people.

I do remember a former sports entertainment star who now does self help speeches to teenagers in school saying that everyone who achieved success in their chosen field has paid a huge price to succeed. It is a shame that people do not realize that we all a talent from God to use to make the world a better place to live. The advice I learned from a minister is to keep my eyes on own paper.

Some people just cannot accept their own failure that they blame others for their demise. And they take it against another person and try to destroy that person coz they want them to fail too. Such an evil doing.

@toniganzon ,if humbleness can't pacify the jealous persons, then take up weapon to fight. We can't always make concession to evils,We had a bottom line about tolerance. When someone evil go too far to cross your bottom line,No hesitate to fight back, give them a lesson and pain, then they don't dare invade you any more.I always behave in this way.We should have self-defense at proper time and show others your braveness.
