Bye Bye to Johnson&Johnson baby talcum powder. The multinational company has decided to discontinue the sale of baby talcum powder across the world globally in the coming of 2023. The company has announced it will stop selling talc-based baby powder product but has transition to a cornstarch based baby powder instead. In my home at least three generations have been brought up by using the Johnson & Johnson products. My mom use the baby shampoo, lotion and the baby talcum powder on the newborn until a few years old given the fact when I was growing up at the time.I still use the baby talcum powder when I get heat rash on my skin from time to time whenever the weather gets extremely hot.I find comfort in using their product for it's effectiveness.I will miss this product dearly as I was one of it's loyal customer purchasing the talcum version baby powder. If you'd like to know more about this product on why it is being discontinued, here is the link: https://www.econotimes.com/Johnson-Johnson-discontinues-sale-of-talc-based-baby-powder-worldwide-1639370 Do you use Johnson Johnson baby talcum powder product in your life?

@sica98 I don't know if it's true. I don't think the reason for cancer still is known to us.

@sjvg1976 That could be true but they are studies have found that talcum powder does increase the risk of developing ovarian cancer.

A lot of lawsuits filed by women who say that the product gave them cancer as a result of asbestos contamination, a proven carcinogen.Read the link above if you want to more details on the subject.

I don't use Johnson & Johnson's products because they are not fragrance free. I have sensitive skin. All my skin care products must be fragrance free.

I grew up with this talc. Now I'm 57, I still use it until it was announced to discontinue selling it. I was so sad and devastated because I love the feeling of rubbing it on my face and hands.

I sure hope that the cornstarch based Johnson's Baby Powder is safe, does not contain asbestos and does not cause cancer.

I've always loved powder, like to use it after my shower. Of course, since I am of the boomer generation, every one of us was dusted down daily as well as every diaper change. I have been buying the cornstarch-based powder for a long time now. Johnsons paid out so many millions in lawsuits over their powder, they are probably just done with it.

With the amount of lawsuit,it was probably the best solution for the company to discontinue the product and losing their worldwide customers.

I know it has been implicated in ovarian cancer, I am surprised it took this long for them to D/C it honestly.

I certainly did when I had babies. Now I have switched to cornstarch as dusting powder but still hold my breath so that I don't breathe it in,

I stopped using after I read that the talcum could cause cancer. I am using a powder that does not contain talcum.
