Making Today An Exciting Day

Sometimes no matter what is happening around you, we just have to make the day an exiting one. I did this by seeing this butterfly in Dustin's garden. That is all it took for me. Now today is the best.
This is another Pipevine Swallowtail like the one I posted the other day (the photo with two together). Perhaps Dustin heard me and sent me another one. Last year I rarely saw these. This is year they are in the garden every time I walk out there.
Enjoying those little things in spite of everything going on. Have a good day everyone.

You truly know how to enjoy life. It's the small things. It's always been the small things, yet someone most people have lost touch of that fact and chase after the big things, thinking that is the key to happiness. I had a rough day at work yesterday, I was very aggravated and frustrated and just physically and emotionally drained, but then I came home and my daughter was cooking me dinner. That started changing my mood. Then, my son called me from south Florida and we ended up talking for an hour. Just those two small, simply things completely turned my day around, and I felt extremely blessed, happy and satisfied after that. The small things...a beautiful butterfly or a conversation with a loved one or a home cooked meal.

@CarolDM It took me a while too Carol, but I'm glad I discovered the truly important things in life before it was too late. And I admire you greatly for your awareness and appreciation of those "small things" in life. Your butterfly posts always inspire me.

The Butterfly looks wonderful again!
There are things and feelings beyond the obvious Scientific explanation and I can at least try to understand what all you feel !
