I will begin to train someone tomorrow / myLot

They were supposed to have someone to cover the other half of the day with my student. That fell through. They have been trying to hire. The person who will definitely do it is experienced working as a paraprofessional. She has a 3 year old, who will be going to afternoon Head Start Preschool. Monday through Thursday, so it is still a problem. She also will not start until August 30. They hired a man today, who has no experience working in a school. He will shadow me, once he gets to the building. He has to have orientation in the morning. I hope it goes well. I am working my job that is supposed to be part time for full time hours through Monday. I told them I cannot Tuesday. Wednesday I can, if I have to, but I really need to work at my sister's house. Not having enough staff is part of why I get so tired.

I hope the new guy comes up to speed really quickly. Everywhere seems to be struggling for staff.

A shortage of staff is a countrywide problem. I see it everywhere I go and hear about it in so many companies. I hope the new person works out well.

That leaves you in a difficult place, having already committed to your sister and working part time, hopefully the new person will pan out and learn the ropes quickly.
