@ TheHorse should like this "what did you have for breakfast?" post. Actually I continue to eat right now. Probably hungry from the steroids today. I got up at 5 this morning and ate a huge bowl of turkey, rice and vegetables. Then I had coffee with a cherry fritter. I went back to bed, and just got up and had an ice cream float. Someone has posted about breakfast, so now I want buttered toast. I plan to hang out at home and rest up a bit today. Yesterday was kind of a long day. Hubby is still asleep. It is okay, he needs it. I am pretty sure I mentioned that he had covid-19 as well. No one told us which variants we had. I would guess the Omicron BA.5. We do not feel particularly sick, just mostly tired.

They probably didn’t tell you what variant you have because they don’t even know. That’s a hefty breakfast! There are pregnant ladies with a craving now. Hope you both get feeling better quickly.

I had friends last year that were told the variant they had, the whole family had Omicron. I am gonna rest as I have a chance, but I get kind of bored and feel useless.

@GardenGerty I know, but your body does need the rest. So rest up, no matter how boring it is. My favorite “waste of time” is watching live cameras on beaches in Florida.

@FourWalls I am wasting my time by doing surveys, etc. to put a few pennies to work for me.

I hope you and Bob begin to feel better soon. Steroids will make you hungry. Glad you have an appetite.

Just kind of tired. We do have occasional coughing, but no more fevers. I am surprised we are doing as well as we are.

@GardenGerty At the last house-sit, we ate all the ice-cream in the freezer (1/2 a tubful) so this time I made sure to bring our own.

The aftermath of covid are tiring and make you feel sick. Take rest and have high protein diet to give you energy.

Yes, the high protein meals and the good veggie meals help me the most. I think I will have a nap.

Wow, you sure had some yummy-sounding food. I absolutely adore cherries, so I was wondering what makes up a cherry fritter. Is it fresh cherries or canned cherries?

Not sure how to answer that question. I bought the fritters at a bakery in a grocery store. I will guess canned cherries. I do not like to ever be out of good food.

@gtdoss Cherry is a good flavor, hubby prefers apple. Both are really good.

The turkey and rice gagged him. He is not much of a rice person. I just keep pulling things out and having us eat. I am glad when he will eat anything.

I do not always "give myself permission" to take it easy. I think a nap will be a good thing later.

I seem to be eating constantly today. It does just vary up and down. Next week or so I will need to get back on a healthy eating track.

The two of you should get lots of rest. Your mentioning all that you had to eat is making me hungry! Take care and try to have a good weekend.
