Fun Chores.

Lets face it, performing daily household tasks can be tedious, but they must be done , and many of us cannot afford a household helper. Yet there are some household chores which we actually enjoy doing. For myself , l have always loved ironing. Back in the day l ironed everything - wrinkled or not , from towels to pillow cases. I also love cooking and baking. Are there any household chores that you like doing? Does your husband or partner help with the daily chores? Pixabay image

@Kandae11 We are both Italian, in Italy men do not iron or clean the house. My husband likes to dust the furniture and to vacuum. I am glad of that, because those are two things that I do not like to do.

Ha, you know we are similar in a number of ways. There are those men who believe specific duties are for women only.

Both Pretty and I like to cook and bake but we split the other household chores. Since I'm allergic to dust, she does the sweeping and mopping while I do dishes and clean everything except the floor in the bathroom... Usually, if it's not too hot, I stay out on the front porch in a rocking chair while she vacuums and sweeps the floors. When it is too hot for me to stay outside, I close my bedroom door until she's finished with the rest of the house and then I put a mask on and go to the living room while she vacuums and dusts my bedroom. *shrug* It works for us.

@Kandae11 I taught Pretty how to cook from the time she was little. We had a pass thru in the wall above the stove so she could stand in a chair and watch me cooking without being in my way. I explained what I was doing and why. If she saw me doing something new to her, she'd ask questions. She started cooking on her own when she was in her early teens, asking questions if she didn't understand a recipe and I would explain it to her.

Oh, I hate ironing and dish washing. Can't think of any household chores I enjoy doing. Well, I sometimes enjoy cooking my favorite dishes. Even better if someone can wash the utensils and dishes afterwards.

I love to cook, and hubs loves to clean up afterwards. I’m a fanatic about keeping the house immaculate, but have a cleaning lady. I just need to do a light dusting and quick vacuum between her visits. Hubs helps me with the vacuuming. Our master bath is cleaned by me daily, but it doesn’t take me long. Btw, he’s in charge of the trash!

@Kandae11 So true. Most women don’t like dealing with the garbage for some reason, but usually are the ones whom make the most of it

It is nice when hubby helps with clearing the table after dinner and helps with tidying the kitchen after cooking. One thing l do hate is dealing with the garbage .When my son is here he handles that chore for me.

I quite like ironing but I only iron what needs it. Vince looks cooking and does most of it but I make biscuits and desserts if we have them. We don't really share too many of the chores although we have worked a lot together making things.

Good, you like ironing too. Come to think of it the majority of top chefs around the world are men which means that men can cook very well if they want to.

My past self said here is my uniform Iron away. That's a weird one. While kind of therapeutic watching wrinkles go away, no it still sucked in my mind. They should just pay us for every little thing we do and then maybe be more motivating.

I really don't mind doing chores if there is someone in the same room with me to talk to. It takes my mind off of the chore, and I end up having a great time. My "if I won the lottery" dream is having a housekeeper, though!
