Not what I expected

I came back from a 5-day getaway to PA expecting to come home to an empty house. Instead I came home to the contractor putting tiles in our master bathroom. And he didn't leave until about nine o'clock. He usually leaves a little after 2 pm on weekdays because he has another job. He must have been off from work for Labor Day and that's why he was here past his usual time and staying so late. I hope when all is said and done the tiles will look really nice, both on the walls and the floor.
We had nothing prepared to eat at home so decided to order takeout. We got an order of chicken katsu with fried rice, a duck roll, and an order of ikura (salmon roe) and masago (small roe) sushi both with quail egg on top. The sushi comes in two pieces per order. We shared everything. The chicken katsu came with miso soup so we got another order of the soup as hubby wanted it as well. It was a pretty filling dinner. Only one entree and neither of us was left hungry.

Good thing we only ordered one entree. Otherwise, would have had leftovers.

I was thinking the same thing as you! Like what is all that stuff? Doesn’t anyone just order a pizza or eat hamburgers anymore? Lol

My biggest concern is the vanity fitting into its space. And the new tub spout with diverter working as it should. And then there’s more stuff we still need to buy.

@lovebuglena Haha, fair enough. But it sounded intricate. If I was just returning from a vacation, I'd want to put as little thought and energy into meal preparation as I could. Hence why I would just order a pizza. lol

Yeah. The dinner was really good. Didn't get dessert though as the place we wanted to get it from was closed.

When I left for PA I left him the key so he can come in and work on stuff. But he usually always leaves a little after 2pm. We got home around 5 I think so was surprised to see him in the house.
