A bittersweet Saturday

Our daughter Tammy, her husband Jay, and their son 13 year old Landon came from Charleston SC this weekend.
They stayed at our son Robert's, but early Saturday morning, Dale, Robert, Jay, and my cousin Adrian took two boats and went fishing.
They caught lots of white perch (no catfish
), and we cooked them that afternoon.
There's not anything much better than fish that was just caught a few hours earlier!
I fried corn bread and okra, stewed some potatoes, and made pecan pies.
Nathan drove over from his dorm...he and I had such a great conversation. He knows more about world events than most adults I know, lol.
It was a wonderful day, then at bedtime they went back to Robert's.
The bittersweet part was that my Tammy was in so much pain. She still has the pelvic floor issues, but the cortisone shot in her hip (from the car accident and botched surgery) had worn off, the mass in her throat hurts her to talk a lot (waiting on results from recent procedure), and now she's waiting for biopsy results from four places that her dermatologist removed this week which were "concerning."
I know Tammy feels like she's under attack. But she's not a complainer and she keeps going, sometimes I wonder how.
Please pray for her. I'm trusting God and trying not to worry, but she's my baby girl even if she is grown.

I'm praying the biopsy results from the thyroid/ throat procedure and the skin places will all be negative.

@RebeccasFarm It seems that the doc is sure it's not cancer and I know they hesitate to take out your thyroid if not needed, but that mass concerns me.

Thank you. She got a negative report from the dermatologist and the Endocrinologist wants ro wait a while longer about the mass in her throat.

I will pray for Tammy.
She sure seems to have her health struggles, I know that the next generation is watching, and learning from her, about strength of character and how to deal with what you get and make the most of your life.
It must have been sweet to have everyone together, we do not get enough of that time.

Thank you so much for your prayers, Julia. Even with all that going on and not able to walk without limping, she still was loading the dishwasher, cleaning up the kitchen before I even realized it! I tried to make her sit down, but she's such a tornado that not much slows her down in spite of everything.

Thank you so much, Kandase. God has healed and helped her so many times and I keep reminding myself of that. That's her golden retriever Saint with Tammy and Nathan in the back yard.

@1creekgirl. Right now we are experiencing heavy rain, thunder and lightning as it passes south of us. Right now Ian is still a tropical storm but it will be a hurricane tonight and a major one by Wednesday. It has the Cayman Islands, Cuba and parts of Florida in its sights. Thank you for asking.
