So far it's not so bad. Mostly consistent rain, but it's about to make landfall. It's moving slowly though so it'll be a while. So far it's outer bands because I'm on the opposite side of it's point of impact. We had one power surge. But, so far, nothing to serious.

Yep, did some damage to my nerves when the electricity blinked but so far so good I am hoping it stays that way, but I am also being realistic in case. Let's hope the worst passes us by and pray for those in the direct path.

I hope your power stays on. If the winds don't kick up, it might be OK. I have the feeling they will though, because last I heard, it was approaching a cat 5.

It never hit a cat five, and now that it's made landfall, and slowed down, it's only going to get weaker.

@snowy22315 Yeah. Places that took a more direct hit are going to see the most. However, we're not getting the worst of it.

We already are, but the winds aren't as bad as they could've been. But, this is expected to continue throughout the night and into tomorrow.
