My Blood Pressure is too High Again

I am trying not to freak out but my blood pressure keeps going up and I don't know how to fix it. Tonight it was 156/84.
I am trying to find a new PC because I really don't like the one I have and I think she is part of my blood pressure problem. She has said that she is okay with my blood pressure being in the 130s over 80s...but I am NOT okay with that. That's what it was when the doctor she took over for put me on the blood pressure medication. So I really don't want to ask her advice on what to do.
Today I went to the health food store and bought some beet root powder. I am going to put a bit in my tea and hope it helps. But I am also going to email my cardiologist and see what she thinks I should do.
Stress is bad for blood pressure, but it's hard not to stress when my blood pressure is too high.
Have you ever had high blood pressure?

My blood pressure is normal but it seems lower. I think you know many ways to keep the blood pressure normal. In fact I learned another way via the net. That's having a pet. Just like I like seeing the fish swim around in the aquarium at home and this makes me joyful. I heard that this will also help to have a normal blood pressure. Perhaps I just see it too much?

Yes, BP is a problem for me. Certain herbals are good for blood pressure. 156/84 isn't terrible, but it needs to be lower for sure.

My aunts have high blood pressure from time to time. I have a low BP most of the time. I hope your BP will be back to normal

I have always had very low blood pressure throughout my life and even as a child, and at university I had periods of anemia and had to take iron pills,

That is not extremely high but should be lower. Mine stays pretty good with medicine.

I've been on blood pressure meds for years and it helps keep my bp under control. I know when I overeat foods high in sodium it tends to go up. The doctor also told me to try and lost a little bit of weight and it would help with lowering my bp (easier said than done
)
Hope you can figure out what's going on and that maybe your cardiologist can offer some good advice. It's hard when you don't have a good relationship with your primary

Yes I struggle with this as well so I understand your frustration. Mine is always in the range of 135/85 so honestly beet root and meditation and long walks help me. I also I’m trying to learn how to de stress but it’s hard. You are taking all the necessary steps and I hope it will get normalized soon!
P.s I also don’t use salt which has helped a lot during the years.

For some reason, my BP has always ran on the low side. The only time mine went high was back when I had babies. So I don't have to take meds for BP, thank goodness.
