Bob will have one more dose of Rocephin. Yesterday besides the Rocephin he saw Primary Care, had a blood draw, and saw the cardiology nurse practitioner. Then we went out for pizza. His appetite is really coming back. General news is that he dropped eleven pounds of water weight, because he went back on his Lasix. His blood tests from last week had no infection in them. His EKG last May was good, but because of the strep viridians he may have to have another test, EKG, where he will swallow a camera so they can see the heart valves. It seems that bacteria can make growths on the valves that are like barnacles on a ship. The test is abbreviated TEE. I took my student swimming, so I was very tired last night. Glad the week is almost over. Not positive if he will have the TEE, it will depend on what the actual cardiologist thinks. I guess I will let you know.

Goodness, he's having a time of it. But it's good that his appetite is coming back.

Swimming with 50 pounds of wiggle can be fun. The water was really nice.

Wow the technology they have for investigating the heart. I hope he will be clear of bacteria if he has that TEE.

According to the blood tests he is clear of both the CDiff and strep bacteria. We just need to know if t he Strep left any "barnacles" on his valves to interfere with their opening and closing.

I am glad he is eating better with each passing day. It can be overwhelming with all the different appointments, medicines, and tests. Praying everything continues in the right direction.

It seems like each time we approach "normal" something else happens. Praying for good results.
