Woke to my phone vibrating out of control this morning. I thought it was some sort of weather alert, but when I looked at it, I realized the sound had gotten set on vibrate. It was friend ringing my phone off the hook, and he had called 4 times in a row. I told him I thought it was an emergency..He gets into a thing sometimes where he calls repeatedly like that. I am going to tell him not to do it again, first thing int he morning nonetheless!

When I finally talked to him, he didn't even have anything important to say...

@snowy22315 He looks a lot like Mom, she called early in the morning just to ask how it was the weather.

Not good timing with the weather watches in your area for this to happen. My hubby's sister just texted him that they are on their way to Florida to see if their place is still standing. They are in Fort Myers Beach, and that area was hard hit. They will not have any cell service nor electricity when they arrive, so they texted us to warn us if we do not hear from them.

Oh wow, I wonder. I know people who have property in Florida second cousin lives there,, and my grandparents used to spend winter's in Lakeland, between Orlando and Tampa. They would have been there now, as they used to leave sometime in September before the rates changed on the auto train. As a matter of fact, I remember calling them from Punta Gorda one time. I hope the home is safe, but I kinda doubt it.

@Juliaacv He might be involved in some of the rescues. I know he has done that before. I am sure he will update us at some point.

@snowy22315 I haven't heard from Jeff in a while, I hope he is safe. My brother and his wife are down in Fort Myers Beach, they have a home there and are checking in on it.

It's not always pleasant when people do this.

It is just unnecessary and more like you are being "summoned" instead of a phone call.

So he still depends on you? Well, I suppose that isn't so surprising.

I would have been thinking it was an emergency too. Early morning calls are always worrying.
