Mylotters, I've checked the weather forecast for this Wednesday's rescheduled birding. It would be 44 degrees that morning and clear. Looks like it's going to be happen after a few delays or two. I'll be bundled up in my hoodie and gloves and definitely bringing my tea in my thermos to warm me up for the one-hour shift.
I haven't gotten any emails from the lead avian keeper at the zoo. If I don't get anything from her in 24 hours, it's going to happen for sure. I just wish it would be warmer 36 hours from her with the sun. Like last week, I promise to give you a full report with a photo or two on Wednesday night. I still have time to study a digital guide book on the birds in Ohio between now and then.
Keep your fingers crossed!

Neither. This is just a special mission project from my zoo. Fourteen volunteers excluding myself had signed up for it in late August. It's only for an hour looking for birds in trees or those who collided into buildings (doors/windows).

I have a friend who is into birdwatching. It's great fun spotting a bird you don't often see. Have fun!

Good luck with this. What will you actually be doing? Counting wild birds or what?

I wish you the best of luck that you are able to watch the birds on Wednesday.
