There seem to be a global meltdown in the economy. Prices are rising every day. Many businesses are closing and people are losing their jobs. The hearts of mankind have become wicked. Then in midst of it all Super Powers threatening the peace of the nation. Why is North Korea intimidating Japan? They are launching missiles to Japan provoking them. Will this lead to a war? Why did Russia invade Ukraine and initiated war ? Now Ukraine is fighting back.So many innocent lives lost. Some people think that China is also intimidating Taiwan?. Intimidation can lead to major conflict. Do you think we are on the verge of World War 3?

Even while conflicts in today's world are unavoidable, we can't help but worry that there might be another World War if large nations get involved. If you look back in time, WWI began in the 1918–1920s, while WWII began in the years 1939–1945. Since the epidemic began in 1918 and we are now living in 2019, it appears that history is simply repeating itself. I merely ask that international leaders behave responsibly and refrain from repeating disastrous actions from the past.

@askme123 Well if you would notice by this time, it should be starting now since they are a century old already. But so far Ukraine - Russia war has started already and there are many other countries trying to enter into conflict with other countries as well. The difficult part of it is the war is happening at a time when technology is already way more advanced than it was a century ago. We could easily end this with a nuclear war which would mean the end for us all.

I agree with you. Based on your historical analysis which year would you predict WW3 would start?

@rsa101 The nuclear thing I am afraid of. Is it true that if a nuclear blast occur say in Ukraine we can feel the effects on our skins peeling off in the US?

My customers at my little shop were talking and one mentioned the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Surprisingly a woman said she’s barely making money to survive and she already has a lot in her mind to worry about other people or other country’s problems

That may seem true but did you know that the Russia-Ukraine war indirectly affect all other countries. Most of the oil and gas come from Russia. Due to the war and the sanctions. Other countries are sourcing the commodity elsewhere resulting in supply becoming limited. This is why gas prices keep going up. The war also affects export and import and the prices of goods overall. I heard that Russia use to be the main exporter of chicken feed. However with the sanctions this is no longer. So local farmers have to source chicken feed elsewhere which is more expensive.Hence chicken price in the US and the rest of the world has gone up.

If the leaders of all the nations of the world would humble themselves and seek God’s guidance, what a different world this would be! I know the improbability of that happening but I’ll keep praying anyway.

Yes some of these world leaders are very arrogant and power hungry. If they had more humility the world would be a more peaceful place.

@porwest when there is a war it damages the luxury life we are use to.Based on what is happening in Ukraine some places gave no light, water nor internet. I dread that coming to the US .I prefer freedom all the way.

@Homewardbound At the same time, Godliness cannot be a complete effective deterrent of war. In the 16th and 17th centuries the Catholics fought the Protestants, wiping out somewhere about 30% of the European population in some of the bloodiest battles in history. Everyone knows about the Eighty Years War which involved Protestants and Lutherans. The French Wars of Religion was between Roman Catholics and Reformed Protestants. The key thing is that certain people want power, it's that simple. And they want importance and domination. And of course we all (countries) disagree on many things humanitarian, politics, socioeconomical and religiously—so no matter what we have in the world (God, no God), I think we will always have war. However sad a reality that is. And unfortunately, sometimes war is necessary. Sometimes war actually saves more lives than it takes.

Yes, there is a tense situation in the world at present. I dont understand what the leaders will get by war. Maybe the ambitiousness of a few people will destroy the world.

I sometimes think so. I certainly hope not, especially with so many countries having nukes. And the usually volatile Middle East is only tangentially involved in all of this mess.
