Red Ones, White Ones, Blue Ones, Oh My

A nice weekend here. The weather is gorgeous. Cool brisk mornings for over a week now. Just perfect weather.
I always reach for my favorite Eeyore coffee mug on these fall mornings. This mug holds close to and a half cups of coffee. Just right to sip in the screen room.
The birds are enjoying the peanuts on the deck feeder. Refreshed their water in the garden. Just saw two cardinals. What a treat to see those red birds. They appear early in the morning and late in the evenings. The others are here off and on through the day.
Hummingbirds have not been seen in a few days. Probably have headed on their migration trip south. They will return next spring. Mourning doves, white doves, robins, mockingbirds, woodpeckers and bluebirds have been so nice to watch from the deck. And inside I watch, as the cats do, from the windows.

I just love that mug! Glad it’s been perfect weather there for you. I’m not sure what it’s like here as I haven’t been out yet.
My husband is back to work today and I am feeling good. Baby is very whiny today wants to be held constantly. Worrying she’s getting an ear infection. Today I’m washing all the cloth diapers in bleach. Haven’t done it since I’ve used them and the baby has had a problem with diaper rash since her ear infection antibiotic a few weeks ago so after I get it cleared up and put her back in the cloth I don’t want it to come back. I’m thinking it’s fungal. I had to try use clotrimazole on it last night and today as diaper rash ointment isn’t working.

@CarolDM I prefer using cloth diapers but when she diaper rash I can’t use them as the ointment breaks down the covers and ruins them so then I have to buy disposables. I hate thinking how much the landfill fills up with all the disposables.

I am loving my new little one cup coffeemaker.
And my new coffee I found that is fine for me.
I sometimes wish mornings would hurry up when I am going to bed at night so I can drink coffee.

Wow, I think you live in paradise

I love those big mugs on cool evenings. The Navy cup that Coral sent me for my birthday holds plenty and is the right size for me to wrap my hands around and keep them warm.
Nothing new here, just the same beauty I’ve been taking pictures of for the last few days.

So nice that you're having an enjoyable day bird watching.
As children my parents used to pack us all into the car and we would head out to a bird sanctuary to watch some of the birds as they were beginning their migration south. I used to take our seniors there on our autumn bus tour each year when I worked as the Activity Director of the city's old age home. It was always a nice trip, we'd enjoy the colours along the way there and back, and we would always splurge and enjoy a nice meal at place on the lake known for their fresh fish. I have not thought of that tradition in years. You would love a day there.

You are talking of such lovely birds. Lot of birds are visiting my area too but I can rarely see them closely. I can hear their chirping only.

Thanks it is not that big, just a little over a cup actually. Works on these chilly mornings. Hummingbirds usually migrate to somewhere over the Gulf of Mexico or in Mexico. Here is a map.

You know how it is life got in the way a bit some good & not so good. Just when you think all is well again something else comes along. It is so lovely to see you & my friends are still here posting. I have just popped in to read a bit & say hi. I find hummingbirds really fascinating to watch.

@garymarsh6 Doing good. Finally healed after my surgery. I do understand about life. We take the good days when we can get them. I take breaks but not as many as I should. It is hard to leave. They are so entertaining for sure. Take care.

I love this Eeyore coffee mug of yours. And that does sound like a cup with huge filling, enough to go for some time while you enjoy watching these birds. Hope that the gorgeous weather stays there for some more time and you can enjoy more of it

Nothing really new here either. I did have three robins gather just before 7 p.m. at my birdbath. I keep containers full besides the birdbath, thinking wild critters of all kinds like water. My kitties enjoy drinking out of the old crocks from crock pots.
