Whose turn is it?

Here is another photo of the kangaroos that were fighting yesterday. I forgot to say Vince took all the kangaroo photos this time. The three are still deciding who’ll fight who at this point.
Note how muscular the forearms are. Their heads are tipped right back to protect their eyes as they scratch at each other with their forearms.
If dogs are attacking them, they might try to grab the dog with their arms. If they take refuge in a body of water, they will hold a dog under water to drown it.

Fighting to see who gets to fight. What a concept.
The ones at Kentucky Down Under were so sweet and docile but I knew better than to get near their back legs, just in case they wanted to kick something.

I suppose like most animals including humans the fight is over territory.

@JudyEv I would be hypnotized as I have never seen a kangaroo.

It certainly does look like a standoff. I wouldn't want to tangle with a kangaroo

The males in particular can be very dangerous. A guy was killed just the other day by his pet kangaroo.

I wouldn't want to tangle with any of them. They don't look as fierce in photos as what I've read about what they are capable of doing to each other and I did read about some silly man who got too close to one and was badly injured by those hind legs.

I guess they all argue over territory or who gets the 'girl'.

I doubt they'd have entire (uncastrated) males in a public area.
