Beware of some deodorants

Smelling nice and preventing sweat is what we all strive for each day.It also boosts our selfconfidence and give us a sense of well being. However ladies and gentlemen I got the shock of my life when I was told yesterday by my neighbour that her friend got cancer from deodorant. He had a large lump under his arm from the deodorant and it would not go away. When he went to the doctor to do some tests the lump was cancerous. Hence we all need to be careful and avoid using harsh deodorants under our arms.It is best to use a little baking soda under your arms if you are not sure which deodorant to buy. Better to be safe than sorry.

Sad to hear, but things do happen, and if one is prone...one is prone. I hope it is nothing serious that cannot be treated.

Are they SURE that the deodorant CAUSED the cancerous lump? I've been using the same stuff for years. No lumps yet. I hope the person is OK.

I’d rather risk cancer then to stink but I think things are different in other cultures. It is known to cause cancer though but so many things are.

I think that labs have to test their products before they are put into the market.

Some of these manufacturers don't care.It is all about the sales. Even if it means long term use of their products will result in cancer.

I would think so too. Cause-and-effect is hard to prove in a case like this.

@askme123 I have never worked in a lab that tested products. So I can't speak to their methodology.

We only have to use products that have been tested to be safe for us. Serious products are tested before being put on the market. Trillion of people use deodorants every day, how many cases of cancer under the arms have you encountered?

It would seem that there are only certain brands that are causing this.It is not reported publicly so this is why you think it has never happened before. The persons affected would just stop using that particular brand .Some things are just shove under the carpet as the body having an allergic reaction to the product when the product is actually causing serious damage.

I heard about that too but so far I haven't seen one that claimed that they got their cancer from their deodorant. All I know is that right under our neck down to our shoulders there is this lymph nodes the use to cleanse our body and they are usually the ones that starts cancer cells since all the waste and toxic materials are absorbed by this lymph nodes and supposed to be excreted out of our body.

@askme123 The CA for this, in my opinion, is lymphoma. They claim that because they filter all hazardous waste from our bodies and transfer it to our excretory system for disposal, they are the ones who begin to develop cancer. Sometimes the hazardous waste is not properly expelled and remains there, causing some of the cells to develop into cancer and spread to other regions of the body from there.

Wow I never know about this lymph node.

In line with your above discussion, I think Johnson & Johnson has discontinued production of the talc powder, following studies which have linked use of same to ovarian cancer.

Yeah it can give you bad skin rashes teenagers can get acne and a blockage of pores is never good. Crap needs to breath. No need to stink there is better ways, tea tree oil prevents a lot of bad things, but not sure about smell and it does take years normally for stuff like that to create cancer.
