This is a water damaged 50 rs. currency note. I'd left it in my pant pocket and then washed it.
Anyway, the only way I can use this currency note is to take it to the bank and exchange it for a new note. They will exchange it if they feel it is an authentic note. I'm wondering if I should do that. If they feel it is not an authentic note, I will be in trouble.
What can you do with water damaged currency notes in your country?

You can deposit it in the bank and get good notes.

We spend water-damaged currency here. The business turns the currency in and the bank might replace it or it might put it into circulation again. *shrug*

@pitstop We get bills all the time that have stuff written on them, are torn in half and partly taped back together or missing one end of the bill. As long as the serial number is still legible and it is sort of together, places will accept it.

I take them to the bank and get non-damaged replacement.

You should be able to get replacements at the bank.

I always take them to the Bank. But it does not happen very often.
