Beautiful Day At The Park Today

Spent most of today at the park. Several activities going on this week and next week. My neighbor went with me. We had a picnic lunch under the trees. Then took a walk around the park. So many new things to see. A new park for the kids is finished. New slides and other activities they can enjoy. The restaurant has been totally redone and in a different location. Will plan to eat there the next trip. So nice being outside enjoying the sunshine. Many birds and squirrels were out and about, up and down the trees. Such a great day to be outside. Came home and the cats were glad to see me. Spent the last hour in the screen room with music turned up. Neighbor is getting a new roof. I prefer music over the nail guns they are using. Hope your day has been a good one as well. Photo is mine.

Good thing there are a lot of parks there. When I had the chance to visit my sister in NY there are a lot of parks around to go to and they are really neat places like the one you posted here. One good thing about your place is the temperature in my place parks are the least visited place when it is sunny and bright since the temperature can become very uncomfortable staying out and strolling in the park.

That is a nice view from the park, I am sure that you appreciated the quietness too. You must be feeling much better from your surgery being able to get out like that, I'm happy for you.

@CarolDM Its such a miracle isn't it, that within a few hours, as you slept, they fixed that issue, you came out full of pain, but in time that has passed also. I think it is nothing short of a miracle.

Thanks. They do a really good job of keeping the park clean. It was nice and quiet. We went before school was out. I am feeling better each day it seems. Hardly any headaches at all. So happy I had the surgery when I did. Thank you again for being there for me.

@Juliaacv Indeed it is. I was so hesitant for so long do go ahead with surgery. Fearing the unknown as you know. The healing took a little longer than expected, but given what he did, I am very happy with my recovery.

Glad you enjoyed your day yesterday! I always love spending time in parks. They are so beneficial to our health and well being. I just had a new roof put on my house, so I know what you mean about all the noise. Next time I get a new roof, I’m just going to leave the house and go on a 2-week vacation!

Thanks. It was so nice being outside. Today will be the same. Then rain arrives tomorrow finally. Thankfully they finished the roof in one day. I hope they did a good job.

I am listening to comforting music, it's wonderful! Your day at the park sounds to inviting, especially the picnic with your neighbor:) The wildlife loves scurrying back and forth, they are so entertaining!

I should spend more time in parks, but I just don't. When we lived in West Allis, Wisconsin we used to spend a lot of time in nearby McCarthy Park. But that being said, it was a nice park. The ones around where we live now are garbage. lol

Parks are great. Especially the state park right down the road. Small and rarely crowded.
