10 cows that ran away from their owner in Limestone County in Alabama who were seen running on the streets in the county on Monday were being chased by the deputies. The 10 cows were seen near the Salem Springs Baptist Church in Elkmont on a highway when the deputies used the power of social media to locate the owner of the missing cows to take them back home. The owner of the 10 cows that went missing was able to locate his missing cows and reunite with them. My guess is that someone who lives or works in the farm where the cows ran away was due to a careless act by leaving the gate open by accident. Thank goodness no one was injured in the incident where the cows ran away from their farm on Monday..

The same thing happened on I75. The cattle truck overturned and cows were going up and down the roads and woods along the road. I hoped some got away but they probably couldn’t have survived on their own.

I do not think that any cow can survive on their own running on a road.

@Deepizzaguy The only way would be to go out in the woods and fields to find grazing.

Handsome Angus beef cows. They knew where they'd be headed and didn't want any of it.

I do not blame the cows for leaving the farms either they knew that they would be a history note.

All were lucky in that sutuation, injuries could have easily been caused. One cow is bad enough, but ten.

Ten cows walking on the streets of a town is too much.

We used to have cows break the fence down the road a ways from where I live. It just happens in farm country.

I did know that cows are capable of breaking down fences inside of a farm.

Ten cows running free on a road could be very dangerous.

Yes, someone surely forgot to close a gate with that many escaping at one time. We get a loose cow here in our county every now and again and it is because the cow knocked over a fence post most of the time. Happy they were returned to their owner and no one was injured.
