Good Friday Morning

It's Black Friday in the US. I've never gone Black Friday shopping, but I'm going to this morning. I have a TV to buy. Best Buy opens at 5 AM. My son said we would be camped out at midnight. NOT! I called him an hour ago and he's not awake or working as he sometimes is at this hour.
I've cleared off the top of my shelves holding my knickknacks. I bought it as an entertainment center a few years ago. It will be again. I'm not taking the pictures down. I don't know how many the TV will cover up.
I also have the space cleared in my bedroom for the current entertainment center. I just don't know what I'm going to do with the present TV. It might go in my bedroom for now. Or I might get rid of it.
So, other than getting a new TV this morning, I hope, I don't have other plans except to be on the computer, either here or working on a book. If I'm back on time, I have exercise class at 8:30. I don't see that as a problem. We should have the TV back here in plenty of time. It all depends on whether I can get the TV or it's sold out by the time I get there, and the checkout lines.
I can tell you, I'm not looking forward to shopping Black Friday.

Good morning to you Valerie.
If you need a new television, then it is a good thing that there is the sale today.
I just hope that the crowds are not as aggressive as they portray in the news.
Our big sale day each year is Boxing Day, that is the day after Christmas, that is our day to buy big ticket items as you are today.
I have an early 8:30am doctor's appointment to go over my lab work and get my prescriptions refilled, after that I am going over to the grocery store and then coming home and relaxing.

Good morning.
The crowds weren't bad. There was a line waiting to go in when my son and I showed up, but inside was decent and the checkout line moved quickly. So, I have my TV home and only need to get it set up and get my living room reorganized.

The last time the missus and I shopped on Black Friday was in 1994. I'm not even certain the term Black Friday had been coined yet then. After dealing with the crowds and the surly, impatient, shoppers, we said we'd never do it again.

You should have looked online at Best Buy's site to see if you could order it. If it's a "hot" item, you could get to the store and find it already sold out. Usually the web site opens hours before the store does. The only "problem" with buying something online is that you'll wait a day or two to get your item (and not have to fight your way through a pushing, shoving crowd). Now that I don't HAVE to be at Walmart to help with Black Friday sales, I'll never subject myself to the insanity again! Nothing is worth that! At least not to me!

I had gift cards to go towards my TV. I looked online before I left. There was a line, but inside wasn't bad. No big crowds like I expected for my first ever Black Friday shopping. My son and I looked over the electronic department for a little bit before we grabbed the TV and headed for check out. Now, I only need to get it set up and the living room taken care of. He couldn't stay to help because he needed to work. He does Uber.

@just4him I'm glad it worked out for you. That definitely doesn't sound like the experiences I've had over the last 14 years I worked at Walmart!

@DaddyEvil Thank you. I expected the worst and got what seemed like a normal shopping day. I found it interesting that they had prices on top of the items in the aisles so you could see what they were without hunting for them. That's where my TV was.

I hope you get one. But they often have other great sales after ths weekend if you dont.
