Surpassed my reading goal

My reading goal for this year was 55 books. I actually managed to read 59 books. There is still some time left till the year is over. I am definitely going to read at least one book. Hopefully more than that. Have to go to the library to return some books. Will see what I can borrow. And then off to the store to see what I can get for tonight's dinner. Not sure what I really want.

That’s great. Taking out and reading poetry books certainly helps. I took out 5 books from the library. Three were poetry so already finished those and on to the first novel of two. Once finish the two novels will be at 64 books. May even be able to read another before the year is over.

@kaylachan I probably wouldn’t read as much if there was no reading challenge. But who knows? Certainly read more than hubby. I never see him with a book.

Thanks. I love reading and the Goodreads reading challenge certainly helps me read more books.

@lovebuglena Most of those people do not read the books, they "listen" to audio-books while they travel, they clean the house, they do other things. Ask them what they remember of what they have read...NOTHING!

@LadyDuck I've never listened to an audio book. Don't think I'd enjoy it.

I did well this year. Some people are able to read hundreds of books a year. Wonder how they manage to do that.

Hope you pick up reading again soon. Nothing like escaping into a great book.

@LindaOHio That's not a bad thing. Unless it will prevent you from getting something important done.

@lovebuglena I know once I would start I wouldn't put it down until I finished it.

I will finish the year with 64 books for sure. Hopefully, I will be able to read at least one more to finish at 65.
