Cancelled My Covid 19 booster

I had to cancel my Covid 19 booster as the weather was really bad. I wasn't going to take a chance and slipped on the ice. I already broke a toe about 6 weeks ago and it is still difficult to walk. I will re book when the weather is nicer. Meanwhile, I am staying inside the house, warm and cosy.

You did the right thing to cancel. I am sure you stay most of the time at home and you are safe. Better not to take risks.

I'm sorry about your toe. We still haven't gone out to get our 2nd booster and annual flu shot...and next week it's getting bitterly cold with s**w. I think we waited too long!

It sure is taking a long time for the broken toe to heal + the infection in the bone. Can't wait to be cleared of all that.

@LindaOHio I was on IV antibiotics for 20 days and had to remove it as it retained too much water. Then they put me on antibiocs pills for another 20 days.

I've suffered from broken toes and it is painful. Don't blame you for not going out for your booster. I try to avoid all chances of slipping when the weather is bad.

@marlina I've broken toes a few times. I love being barefoot so it shouldn't be surprising that I've walked into things and broken my toes

Just finished having a bout of COVID - for the first time. I wonder, does having it preclude the need to get boosted?

I am up to date with my covid shots, my hubby still has 1 more to get, but the appointments are always all filled up so I think that he will be waiting until the new year.

You're smart to get a different date for your booster especially when the weather is poor.

it was a good decision. You have to give respect to the weather.

I haven't taken my covid booster as yet and in India they aren't insisting on it.

I don't know. Most places right now, they don't mind having or not having vaccine booster, let alone the compulsory 2 vaccines anymore. As for me, I don't want a booster. The 2 compulsory vaccines were painful enough for me.

We got some nasty weather but the majority of it hit surrounding towns and missed us. All we got was the rain/sleet so my ride to work this morning wasn't bad. I need to schedule a covid booster too, I may do that on my vacation.

This was a wise choice you made, Marlina:) It's best that you stay indoors, to avoid falling on the icy ground!
