What kind of woodpecker this is? I googled it but the only thing I got was the one with a red tuft on it's head. It's the first time I've ever seen one and was lucky enough to get a video of it. Have you ever seen one of these? Do you know it is? I looked at all the species they had on google but the image above is the closest I got
This is the first time I've seen a wood pecker She is a beauty.

I just took another look at the link Goaskalice provided and it seems this woody actually does make a home in our deserts, just seems so odd to me.

I have the feeling that the heavy cold storms out east drove her to go west or maybe it was the storm on the west coast that drove her to go east, who knows

According to the article that admin provided those with the read head are the males and the one I saw was a female.

No red color top of birds head rite , We can identify very easily form that , hear in this picture no red color on top of head , I have no idea about this
