I learned this way via the net and I think it works well and I'd like to share it. At first, after washing the green onion, then dry it with a kitchen towel or tissue. And cut it into small pieces. Put them into the storage container and then store it into the refrigerator. Freeze it as well as the meat. You just need to take it out when you want to use the green onion. Usually when our food is ready, finally we will add some green onions on the food and you don't have to cook it as the heat will be enough to make the green onions get done. Sometimes we will also put the hot oil on the green onions and then add the soy sauce as the dipping sauce. You can use the storage way and it can keep the green onions for a long time.

As a child, I used to spit those onions out to my mother's frustration. I avoid them these days (they are sort of expensive where I live, so it is OK). We planted them in the past, but I left them in the garden and they disappeared with time. Next time, I will store them your way.

I don't know it is expensive in your side. It is easy to grow the green oinion and I hope this will work better for you If I had a garden like yours, be sure I would have enough green onions all the time

@youless I planted plenty of garlics too, but just like the green onions, I forgot all about them.

Yes, that sounds like a good way to store green onions for a long time. I don't like uncooked green onions. I love to put hot oil on green onions and add soy sauce as the dipping sauce.

I will try this tips when I buy a green onion. I used to keep it in a chiller but it will be dried off in a week. I love to make scramble egg with green onion, taste better

My way works well and please try it. By the way, today I bought the Indonesian shrimp crisp? I don't know this word. I typed the Indonesia words for your reference: Krupuk Udang aloha sidoarjo.

We do much the same. We buy a bunch of spring onions, cut them up and freeze them in a number of small containers. Then we always have some when we want them. Thanks for sharing these tips.

I keep green onion in storage bags to make sure the smell is contained from other foods.

if the leek has been mixed with vegetables then stir it in a container that already has flour then add water and continue frying. and don't forget to season it, it's my favourite.

I am freezing green onions too when I buy a lot from the supermarket. I can’t consume them all at once so it is always handy to have them frozen.
