When I read about something in internet, there is always a contradiction. For example, don't eat meat, it is not good for your health. While in the contrary, do not eat carbohydrate, it is the main caused of all health problem, eat meat is better. Do you research or you just believe what in the internet?

I believe almost nothing I read on the Internet, I do my personal researches and I ask the professionals. Italians are among the population who have the longest life expectancy... we eat more carbs than meat. Red meat is NOT good for our health, better fish than meat.

@ifa225 - As our ancestors always said "everything in moderation" is the key to stay healthy. I am 72, I have never been sick during the past 53 years.

@ifa225 A test must be carried out which substance is lacking in the body, because everyone has different problems. So it can't just be based on the words of a doctor or someone on the internet.

@aninditasen the site I read was suggesting to eat oil, butter, eggs, cheese, meat to loose weight..they called it ketogenic diet. Many has succes loosing weight with that diet and said they feel healthier. I ever tried that diet too, but then I read another site which stated that the liver need carbohydrate so it can work optimum. Get confused with that, so I just leave the diet

@ifa225 Carbohydrate and fat should be taken in less amount if a person is overweight. I take very little wheat or rice and also oil and butter to manage my weight.

It is unwise to go by the absolutes when it comes to food, and I believe we need to follow the basics (i.e a balanced diet). There is too much rigmarole going on in this space now and some people are taking extreme stances regarding a certain diet which is misleading.
