This is the dish I wanted to learn as soon as possible.First and foremost, I need to prepare the ingredients of this 'salted dried fish gourmet'. If I do this, it will be for family consumption. Or, it could be a food business. I hope I can nail this cooking idea on my day off next week. Are you fond of consuming home-made gourmet? Image Credit: angsarap.net

I enjoy cooking at home. Not a big fan of cooking fish but I like to eat it.

For some Filipinos, they do love just frying the salted dried fish for breakfast. I do love it, too. However, I wanted to have something new by doing this.

I don't like dried fish. I find them stinky.

Are you sure that those in the photo are herrings? They look like sardines to me.

I think it is. If it does look sardines, they are also possible to use the main ingredient for the gourmet.

@Shavkat I checked the photo published online, those in the photos are sardines. We make the same in Italy, marinated with oil, vinegar some spiced onions and carrots.

Eww! That's fish! If that's what you want to learn, I hope you can do it well... and don't actually have to eat that.

I am sure you would not because it will trigger your allergy. Allergic reaction is not a good thing to happen.

@Shavkat It's probably best if I don't eat it, that's true.

I was trying to check some of the ingredients yesterday. I was having a second thought because the olive oil costs an arm and a leg.

@Shavkat Sometimes the ingredients for anything the least bit exotic can be very expensive.

Salted dried fish used to be quite popular, People seldom eat them now because of the high sodium level.

Speaking of that concern, I also need to refrain myself to eat too much of this.

I am not sure if you will like it. Some of my fellowmen love it. Gourmet salted fish is quite.pricey in the market here.
