So much for “mostly sunny.” Well, the weather radio didn’t lie…it is sunny behind all those clouds. 
I’ll enjoy some hot tea after lunch while you enjoy today’s song on the list of my favorite songs nominated for an Academy Award. Hope you enjoy this one.
Somewhere Out There - Linda Ronstadt and James Ingram
I’m confused. This song lost to “Take My Breath Away” from Top Gun. Maybe I’ve heard that song way too many times to care about it, but I don’t see that being in the same league as this one.
Of course, I’m a major Linda Ronstadt fan, so there’s that.
And I’ll be honest: I’d rather watch a cartoon mouse than Tom Cruise.

Amen! Such a great duet. She also did one with Aaron Neville in 1990 which did win an Award for Best Pop performance by a duo.

Yes she was! There are some women that make even the straight women go “wow.” Julie Newmar in that Catwoman outfit and Diana Rigg in her leather are two more that made me realize at a young age I had NO chance.
