smoking

I just heard that they have ruled in Mexico that there is no more smoking anywhere except in your own private home.no more smoking in cafes and bars .I wonder how that is going to go over with the tourists, Has anyone else heard this

That's the same as it is in the US. Here, people can still smoke outside, but smoking is becoming less and less prevalent here.

It has been replaced by vaping.

@porwest Vaping has been banned every place that smoking was here. And I'm allergic to the crap given of when a person is vaping, too.

It seems odd that Mexico would come up with a rule like this. But it has been this way in the United States for quite a long time. You can still smoke anywhere outside of course. But nowhere indoors unless you are home unless a special room is designated.

The tourists will adjust to the new Law. I would love they will do the same here. When you walk behind a smoker you arrive at home smelling like a smoked herring. At least in bars, restaurants and cafes is banned from years here.
