Interesting Things I Have Found on YouTube

I have been really enjoying the time spent on YouTube. I have been finding the information I had no idea about. I am sharing two of them here. Hope you find them interesting as I have. Kilt History Grey kilts or ones with the tartan plaid pattern on them have been worn since the 16th century. Back then they were just large blankets that men wore across their bodies and belted. They could also be used to carry weapons, food, personal items, and even children. It wasn't until later that the kilt became more of a skirt. Bridal Traditions Bridal showers and bachelor parties are just some of the rituals that men and women have been experiencing through the ages. The wedding dress wasn't always white. And only the bride and her maids could wear that color. The cost of cleaning a white dress was expensive even back in the early days. More usually they were just a bright color and a wearable fabric. In Medieval Europe, the bride was chased by the marital crowd and her dress was torn into tatters. These pieces of the dress were thought of as lucky charms and would help in conception. The throwing of the bouquet was merely used as a distraction so the bride could get away.

I knew about kilts, there was a (real) Scottish store in Milan where I went to buy three kilt/skirts for me. Interesting what you discovered about the bride in Europe, I wonder which country in Europe.

@celticeagle I researched and I found absolutely nothing of this tradition. May be it was in the UK, but I have found no source confirming this. The high classes wore very expensive bridal dresses and no one dared to touch at them. The low classes barely had money to buy a dress. Do you have the source of this?

I watch and read a lot online and have never come across either of those bits of information. What YT channels do you prefer? I have 48 different ones in my watch list. Most are science based channels but some are goofy info ones or thing like "Idiots in Cars"... Tell me what you like to watch and if I have any channels that sort of fit, I'll share the links with you.
