We Survived The Great Flood

California as a whole state received 32 trillion dollars, haha, dollars, we wish, 32 trillion gallons of rain in 16 days. San Francisco received over 18 inches of rain in 16 days.
We received about 4 and a half inches in 16 days. We are already above our monthly average for the month of January.
That's pretty good for this drought ridden state, though. Almost a trillion gallons of water for per person as state hovers at about 40 million people, maybe its a bit over 39 million but close enough.
What are you going to do with your trillion gallons of water Crossbones? Turn some it into beer and watch the rest filter out to the ocean. I make bad jokes. Hows your weather? Clear skies and sunshine here now, but so cold at night been in mid to high 30's all week.

@rebelann Sometimes you have to even punch mother nature in the face if you want to survive. Its no joke. She does not play and guess we should not either.

Wow! And how did you catch your trillion gallons, Crossbones? In your cupped hands?

It's a start, at least. Maybe Mother Nature is smiling on Californians for a change.
It's storming outside right now. But it's only rain... We're at 34F with the temp supposed to reach a low tonight of... Hmm... 34F? According to the weather app on my phone, at least. The National Weather Service shows the low here as 33F tonight and the State Weather Service shows a low of 31F... But they all show it isn't raining here right now, too.

It's always about money, even in a bad storm.

Its usually normally pretty humid there, so I am sure you guys will sooner or later. Its amazing here how you could feel such moisture in air, now its so dry again. I was cleaning up dog poop and went to clean rake thing off expecting some nice soft dirt, that craps like concrete how quick it dried out here. This place is crazy.

@crossbones27 Yeah, and you'd think you'd get humidity, too. Maybe more along the costal regions I guess.

That sure is a lot of water and I hope the people most affected can get to dry up soon, It always seems to be that way in nature either you have drought or you have way too much rain,

I was like that the other day when debating to take dogs for a walk. Its so cold, and just drizzling out but weather channels says its going to be rain until this time, but kept getting later and I am like dude its not that bad, lets just go, but I perfectly understand.

Like you, I'm dealing with drier, yet colder, weather and watching the water finally soak into the ground. We've had a LOT of problems with mudslides in the area recently.
We got a YEAR'S worth of rain in just a couple of weeks!

Indeed, like a culture shock for mother nature, wait I am wet and you are dry. I do not belong here.
