Who is Tyre Nichols? I saw an advisory at work that an email blast was sent to all US customers about the protest. And that we are encouraged not to edit or change the wordings on the advisory in case we get a call regarding the protest. I don't know the reason he was arrested. The video I watched, the officer did not even say or tell why he is arresting him. Tyre died after 3 days. 5 officers were fired.

I'm sure as slowly as these things move, it will be a long time before the actual trial of these officers takes place. They were in their county jail. I believe 4 out of the 5 arrested have bailed out... Personally, I don't think they deserve any bail, but they just didn't ask me. I would have tossed the key to the cells in the ocean.

@MarieCoyle I agree. They don't deserve to have the chance to bail.

It is so tragic that it took place and was perpetrated by police officers who should always be prevented from resorting to violence unless their lives are threatened. I'm glad the suspects have been arrested and are already in court.

@jobelbojel It shouldn't have been so violent if it was only a driving infraction. Even yet, the victim does share some of the blame because, when the police were called, he attempted to flee, which I believe displeased them. I believe that instead of resorting to violence, the victim may have attempted to explain his side of the story to them. However, notwithstanding his obstinacy, the authorities had no right inflicting such harm on him.

The 5 officers are in jail and they KILLED this man. He was not arrested, he was stopped for a supposed traffic violation and the police, after watching the videos, said that there was NO traffic violation.
