We have several plants of Heliconia - some call them bird of paradise but they are not. They start blooming around this time of year and remain dormant till then I saw the first flower this morning and just clicked it It has yet to grow into a cascading floower. This season because of incessant rain the plants have become robust and tall. I am expecting the flowers also to be robust and long We have them planted in a row and I cannot wait for all of them to bloom.

@allknowing I’m not a fan of videos. Maybe you can just share a photo of this when it does bloom?

@allknowing I have seen those flowers in the hall of restaurants and hotels. Outside they would die.
