Monday Morning Brief

How was your weekend? I hope it was a good one.
I had a wonderful Sunday. I went to a new church and felt at home the moment I walked through the door. I told my friend I would be going with her from now on. They also have Bible study on Tuesday morning, so that's where I will be tomorrow morning.
Good morning from Sunny and cold Green Bay, Wisconsin. Wind chill advisory today for wind chills ranging from -10 F - -20 F here. They're colder elsewhere in the state. Needless to say, I'm not going anywhere today. Though I should go out to start my car at some point and let it run for a little bit.
I've had a good morning so far. I got 7.5 hours of sleep, getting up at 3 AM. My Bible study is finished, I've played my games, and the laundry is done, folded, and put away. I've also had breakfast and it's only going on 8 AM and worked on three chapters of Where Eagles Soar. It's amazing how much you can get done when you get up early. Oh, I forgot to mention I did three circuits of the hallway and have almost half my steps for the day and over half a mile on my step counter.
As for plans, I will go down for the exercise group in half an hour. That's it. I will probably work on Destination Love also today.
How is your day shaping up? Are you just beginning, in the middle, or end of your day?

You mean I can't send this to you either? I don't want these windchills. The sun is okay, but it always means it's going to be cold.

How nice to have found a church you feel comfortable in. My day is shaping. That's all I know at this point.

Good morning! it's already 11:30am and I'm just finishing my breakfast and second cup of coffee. I slept pretty well but had such crazy dreams all night long. We have sunshine today and it's in the 40s and looks like a really nice day outside.
Glad you found a new church and enjoyed your weekend.

I saw the weather where you are and thought about you. Glad you are staying in.
You did have a busy morning. I am glad that you found a new church home.
We had a local medical doctor, a strong Christian, come and talk with us yesterday morning. He was talking about when the war broke out last year between Russia and Ukraine, his son, a missionary to orphan children in Romania, called and needed him to come over and talk with a doctor from Ukraine. He rearranged his schedule and went. She was in a deep depression. She was a OBGYN and a teacher at a major university in Ukraine. When the war began she lost her job at the university and had to flee. The son brought her back to one of the children's homes he oversees. When Dr. Merrill arrived he struggled because he spoke no Ukraine and she no English. But God already had that figured out, 2 girls also came with the Doctor who are Baptist missionaries in Ukraine who spoke both languages fluently. He had two interpreters for when he spoke to her. As he began to talk God gave him the scripture to use. As he spoke she asked many questions, which were the first words she had spoken since she fled. As he answered he said you could feel God's presence. After several hours she surrendered her life to the Lord. She would eventually leave Romania and go to Poland where he son and family were living. I stand in awe of how God will use people who are willing to go when called.

Awesome testimony. It shows that nothing takes God by surprise and He has everything under control. I'm so glad the woman surrendered her life to the Lord.
Thank you. It's not supposed to get over 7 F. It's 4 F right now and -16 windchill.
The church is wonderful! They had a first fruits service. The altar was loaded with every conceivable kind of produce that everyone could take home with them after the service. As for the service, it English and Spanish with an interpreter. God moved in that service so much. I found a new home.
