Getting ready for breakfast and I have plans to make French Toast This is how it will be made. There are days when I am just not in a mood for making anything that have long drawn processes
Bread slices are dipped in the milk to which an egg is added with a little of sugar and nutmeg powder.
The slices are then shallow fried. There are a few quick fix breakfasts that I make and this is one of them.
How do you make yours?

I make almost the same. I use nutmeg too, but use stevia instead of sugar, a splash of vanilla and cinnamon sometimes.

Vanilla is something I have never liked. I have not heard of stevia.

@allknowing Stevia is a diabetic friendly sugar substitute.

I like a dash of sugar in it. The toast turns brown. And yes cinnamon flavour is great I have some powder and I will dust it on my toast

@LadyDuck There is no butter in the fridge but pure ghee is used where necessary I have no issues with sugar as my count is always lower than normal

@allknowing - I avoid sugar as much as I can, I also have to cut on butter because of my husband.

@allknowing I've only ever called it fried bread. I keep meaning to make the real thing one day.

I use eggs and some milk, of course, along with a tiny bit of real vanilla and some cinnamon. Usually a teaspoon or so of sugar. Cook in some melted butter on both sides ( hey, if you're going to splurge on the calories, just go wild, hahaa). In my opinion, the only way to eat this is with real maple syrup. Soooo good!

I do my very best to balance mine as well, and keep track of my eating so I will not slide backwards.

I made some of this yesterday for my son.
I put a small amount of olive oil and fried the egg dipped bread like that.
Dash of cinnamon and honey on top of each bread.

@allknowing Just how I like it too. I add the cinnamon and sugar before I fry it.
