Apart from those parties I host for poor kids and seniors in an old age home I have not stepped out of my house ever since the pandemic. Everything seems peaceful around here now although people still wear masks. I need to step out and am planning on visiting that sea walk that is not so far away from my house. I did go there once years ago May be I will take my neighbour with me. She needs an outing too as she is taking care of her bedridden husband. The resort is close by and may be we will have tea and snacks there - something I have not done for years Have taken many of our guests there for lunch and my favourite table always has been facing the sea. When was your last outing and where? Image credit:

Our life has not changed a lot because of the pandemic. We still have our daily walk, we have stopped going to the restaurant and I still prefer not to go.

@allknowing - We walk almost every day. Yesterday it was warm and we had a 2 hours walk. We reached the top of a hill in front of us, beautiful landscape from there.

That photo is beautiful, I would love to be able to see something like that. I went shopping for groceries on the 2nd but have not left home since. I do not actually socialize but when I shop I always see people even if I do not speak to them.

We need to see real people and not just in the virtual world but the fear is etched in our brain and there is hesitation.

I have always been somewhat of a hermit so not socializing is more or less a norm for me but when I shop I see people and sometimes I will visit a friend

Lilfe is pretty much normal for us now. If we want to go out we do. We don't think too much about the risks any more but that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Governments no longer announce cases that are prevalent around and so no harm in following protocol that can be conveniently followed such as wearing masks and avoiding hugs and handshakes.

@allknowing They don't announce numbers here but I know there are still a lot of cases occurring. It's very sensible to continue to take precautions.

After the authority eased down the health protocol I have attended parties already. I even hosted my own party in 2021 for my 60th where my guests were treated to disco dance party. After that I have attended several outings and parties. Our organizations have also started conducting seminars and conventions.

@allknowing we still wore facemasks and we held most activities outdoors in an open space. On some events foods are served on plate or packed lunch instead of buffet to avoid crowding

The pandemic has affected us deeply. Finally the rules were changed since December last year and at least it was a good beginning. I am so sick of the crazy rules during the pandemic. Finally my husband, son and I had a travel in our province during the Chinese New Year. Hopefully our travel plan will be available like before.

The last outing out of my home was around 2019 before the pandemic hit my area by going to a park close to a local hospital with me relatives. It was nice seeing the oval track in the area known as Drew Park.

I hope you would go outing soon. We went to beach with our relatives last year October. It was fun to go out and spend time together with cousins.

I work in the hospital these days (just freshly graduated Med School--with classes mostly online since pandemic started). It was definitely nerve-wracking going out of the house for the first time since everything started, and having to spend most of my time at the hospital, at that. But I've adjusted pretty well now, I think. Hopefully, I get to go out for leisure soon.
