Saw An Eagle

One of the places we went to on our Paducah trip was to Grand Rivers, Kentucky which is about a half an hour from Paducah, and a very interesting and quaint little town—sort of a resort area with a marina and cabins and I think there was some camping there too. We were there to eat at Patti's 1880's Settlement—I have been there once before but the wife had never been—and we had about an hour to kill, so we just tooled around a bit, settling on going down to the marina and by the water. Down a stony path we encountered an eagle sitting high up in a tree. He was kind of hard to see, but nonetheless majestic as eagles generally always are. I tried to get a good picture of him, but was not really all that successful. But you can still see him. I kept telling the wife I wish he'd have come down from that tree so we could see him better. But he seemed quite content perched up there, just resting and surveying. It's not every day you see one, so it was something neat.
