A raccoon that was aboard a truck that traveled from Louisville Kentucky to Boulder Colorado that wound up inside of a distribution center in Boulder on Thursday last week after the truck was going to unload of pallets when the raccoon managed to hide the building where the employees inside of the distribution center asked for help from the authorities on Friday when the raccoon was seen trapped between a wall and some lumber.
Animal Protection Supervisor J. Whittle answered the emergency call in an attempt to rescue the raccoon who refused to get caught by fleeing from the warehouse employees team for a period of 45 minutes.
An employee at the distribution center managed to capture the raccoon who ran into the kennel.
Whittle mentioned that the raccoon will be traveling back to Louisville although he did not mention which way that the raccoon will be going back to Louisville.
How did the raccoon enter the truck that traveled to Boulder is not known or the name of the distribution center was mentioned.

We had a rented dumpster several years ago. One night, we saw a raccoon take her babies out of it and several babies and then climb up to put them back. The next day the dumpster was taken away and brought to a dump far from our house. The day after, the newspaper reported that a raccoon and several babies were found ant the dump. We still believe they were ours. lol
So I'm not surprised to read your raccoon news.

@DianneN That is true since a rabid raccoon is dangerous to try to capture.

The employees at the distribution center and the animal protection officer had a tough time trying to catch the raccoon.

@RasmaSandra I guess the animal protection officer feels that the raccoon is homesick.

I am in agreement with you that the story is funny since I do not know of many raccoons that are stowaways.
