Frugal Shopping: Thrift Store Finds 2.9.23

We were running errands today and I decided we needed to go to the thrift store. So we did.
I didn't buy as much as I usually do, and I spent more money than I really wanted to...but I still think I did pretty good.
DVD's were $1.00 so you know I had to get three ( I know @moffittjc you're shaking your head)
I got:
Black Mass- the movie where Johnny Depp plays Irish Mobster Whitey Bulger. I LOVE this movie, and of course Johnny Depp.
The Dark Crystal- because I don't think I have ever seen the DVD anywhere in like ten years, and I have never seen it.
Pitch Perfect- because I have never seen it and we bought the first one at DT a few months ago.
I found she child a Columbia Sportswear fleece, and I am always a fan when I can find name brands for her. Especially that are a size or two bigger than she needs.
I also found three tshirts for me and Chris, but I didn't get a picture of them before I hung them up, and frankly I am too lazy to go get them and get a picture of them.
Anyhoo. I spent just under eighteen dollars and got three DVDs, three tshirts and she child's sweater. So I mean it's not the end of the world. But it's still a pretty good deal.
Have you been to the thrift store and scored any good deals recently?

That's unfortunate. The one we frequent the most is my favorite. Goodwill has become almost as expensive regular reatail.

@thislittlepennyearns Some thrift stores are too expensive. we have one like that further away. I don't shop there.

I eventually want to see you have as many DVDs as JJ has vinyl records.

I'll count when I organize them tonight.
I got Catch Me if You Can on dvd today, which I think is forgiveable because it is an amazong movie.

No I haven’t been to a thrift store except to donate lately.
I recently discovered that Whitey Bulger ran the jai alai rackets. When I was a teenager I wanted to go see it (I guess because it was off-limits to people under 18 due to gambling). Later I found out that the Daytona Beach jai alai fronton was torched. This was about the time of the “jail alai murders” that Bulger was behind.

Once I took a friend there and the cashier told us to go to the first row of clother that were brand new with tags and marked one dollar each. I got lots of clothes for my three teen agers at the time and my friend got lots of clothes to fit her for work.

I find a lot of clothes for she child there. It's har dto find stuff for Chris but I have bought quite a few shirts for both of us and jeans for me.

That's a nice jacket. I like a local thrift store that benefits seniors. I found a heavy blanket for our bed there at a good price and it was clean and like new.

Is this really frugal shopping? 
I mean, frugal shopping would be paying less for things you need. Nobody needs DVDs like they need BVDs (that reference may be beyond your years? lol) Either way, the fact is that you had fun. But when a money guy like me hears frugal and DVDs in the same sentence, my brow furls a bit.
