Rose Day

In some schools here where there is co-education (boys and girls) a day is dedicated to roses.
Boys offer a rose to girls as a mark of friendship The problem however is when some get more and some get less or none at all a feeling of sadness is created among some and that may result in jealousy as well.
There is also he possibility of girls getting the feeling that there is more than friendship and perhaps that could lead to further confusion
I am not in favour of such days. Are you?

Good idea. But even then some boys would get more and some none

If so many are not in favour then who is in favour I wonder.

I find these kind of days quite stupid ones. I mean they don't serve any purpose..

@allknowing I am not a full time employee. I work part time and on hourly rates. I don't enjoy any power in my current job.
Anyway the two schools where I work don't encourage any of these. There is nothing going on campus but I am sure that some from High school would definitely do something after school for valentine's day
The other one is a Montessori school..(2_7 years children only). If one gets rose there, everyone gets it

It should not be that way. Our schools the young kids pass out little Valentine cards. But they are to give one to every classmate. The kids also make boxes that the cards get dropped into.

Agree with you. It only creates jealousy and may even harm those who get many

I do not like the days dedicated to roses since there are some people who will take the offer of a rose for friendship as an invitation to start a relationship in the wrong manner.
